Archiving Policy
Electronic Archiving and Preservation Policy
E-Jurnal Manajemen TSM
1. Purpose
E-Jurnal Manajemen TSM is committed to keeping its published scholarly content safe, accessible, authentic, and intact over the long term.
This policy sets out the principles and procedures for archiving the journal's publications and relevant editorial records in electronic form. Its aims are to lower the risk of losing content, to support the continuity of scholarly communication, and to keep published research available to readers, researchers, practitioners, and other stakeholders.
2. Scope
This policy covers scholarly content published in E-Jurnal Manajemen TSM and the electronic records produced during its editorial and publication processes. The materials covered include:
- published articles and complete journal issues;
- article metadata, such as titles, author names, abstracts, keywords, publication dates, and DOIs where available;
- supplementary files attached to published articles;
- correction notices, retraction notices, Expressions of Concern, and other post-publication notices;
- editorial and administrative records, subject to the applicable confidentiality and retention requirements.
Confidential peer-review reports, unpublished manuscripts, and personal data stay under restricted access. Being archived does not make them publicly available.
3. Electronic Archiving and Storage
The journal keeps its published content on its official online platform and the electronic storage infrastructure that supports it. Published articles and their metadata are stored in an organized way so that they can be found, cited, and read over time.
Archiving practices may include:
- keeping published article files and issue records on the journal's online platform;
- preserving bibliographic metadata and publication information;
- maintaining backup copies of journal content and relevant system data, in line with the arrangements made by the journal's technical or institutional administrators;
- limiting access to confidential editorial records to authorized persons;
- checking the availability and integrity of archived content when appropriate.
The journal applies these practices within the limits of its available technical infrastructure, institutional arrangements, and applicable requirements.
4. Long-Term Preservation
The journal recognizes that long-term digital preservation is essential for protecting the scholarly record. It aims to keep published articles and their metadata accessible even if technical systems, website configurations, or publishing arrangements change.
Where such options are available and have been verified, the journal may use recognized digital preservation services, institutional repositories, or other suitable archiving arrangements to strengthen the continuity of its content. Specific preservation services will be named in this policy only after their use has been confirmed.
5. Access to Archived Content
Published scholarly content is made available through the journal's official website, subject to its open-access and copyright policies. Published articles and their bibliographic information are provided to support reading, citation, and wider dissemination.
Confidential editorial records, unpublished manuscripts, reviewer information, and personal data remain restricted in line with the journal's editorial policies and applicable regulations.
The journal also works to keep links to published articles stable and to retain publication information, so that citation and retrieval remain accurate.
6. Article Corrections and Retractions
The journal is committed to keeping its published record accurate and trustworthy. When an article needs to be corrected or retracted, the journal follows its Correction and Retraction Policy.
Where applicable, the original article stays in the scholarly record, clearly marked with its current status and linked to the relevant correction notice, Expression of Concern, or retraction notice. The journal takes appropriate steps so that readers can tell which articles are affected and why the editorial action was taken.
7. Responsibilities
The Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board oversee the journal's compliance with this policy.
Authorized journal administrators and technical staff support the storage, maintenance, and accessibility of the journal's electronic content according to their assigned duties.
The journal may coordinate with its publisher, institutional administrators, or relevant service providers to handle technical problems, data recovery, and preservation needs.
8. Policy Review
The journal may review and update this policy from time to time to reflect developments in digital publishing, preservation practices, information security, and applicable regulations. Any significant revision will be posted on the journal's official website so that authors, readers, and other stakeholders are informed.
